Huntington, NY May 31, 2013 -- Prime: An American Kitchen and Bar (www.restaurantprime.com, 115 New York Avenue, Huntington NY 11743) hosts the sixth annual Huntington Has Taste event on Tuesday, June 18 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The evening of fashion and fun benefits Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank (www.licares.org), whose vision is “A Hunger-Free Long Island.”

For the first time, the event is free and open to the public. Dining reservations are strongly recommended given past years’ interest by hundreds of guests on the night. There will be a cash bar.

The evening starts on water with models arriving on an Azimut Yacht courtesy of MarineMax in Huntington. Prime’s boardwalk doubles as a red carpet runway with models donning fashions from local boutiques such as Francine’s Fashion, Veronica Rayne Boutique and Ooh La La. Guests will also be able to view and sit in two rare edition Audi R8 and A8 model cars courtesy of Audi of Huntington. The event continues through the evening where guests may also enjoy some of Long Island’s best sunset views over Huntington Harbor.

Ilene Sherwyn Appointed to Two New York State Bar Associatio

Farrell Fritz warmly congratulates trusts & estates partner Ilene Sherwyn Cooper on her recent appointment to two New York State Bar Association Committees: the Committee on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar and the Committee on Professional Discipline.

Ms. Cooper, a Dix Hills, NY resident, concentrates her practice in estate litigation. She is a past chair of the NYSBA’s 5,000+ member Trusts and Estates Law Section; is the Suffolk County Bar Association’s representative to the NYSBA’s House of Delegates and is the author of “Case Notes,” a quarterly column published in the NYSBA’s Trusts and Estates Newsletter. Together with members of the NYSBA’s Trusts and Estates Law Section, Ms. Cooper drafted amendments to the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act, which were later signed into law.

Ms. Cooper is a past president of the Suffolk County Bar Association.

Ms. Cooper earned her Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.

Partner Eric M. Kramer Appointed Co-Chair of the NYSSCPA’s Estate Planning Committee

Trusts and estates partner and Certified Public Accountant Eric M. Kramer (http://www.farrellfritz.com/index.php?pg=attorney-profile&aid=21) has been appointed co-chair of the Estate Planning Committee for the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). He will serve a two year term.


Mr. Kramer, a Dix Hills, NY resident, concentrates his legal practice in estate tax planning. He advises clients on business succession planning, including tax implications of the various methods of transfer.

He is a member of the NYSSCPA's PAC Board of Trustees, Board of Directors and serves on the Governance Committee.

Mr. Kramer earned his J.D. degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
