This marks the second time in as many months that Kelly was asked to present on dashboard metrics, use, and integration to his peers at an industry-exclusive event. Kelly discussed the importance of dashboard metrics in facilitating effective SCM practices. As he reiterates on his thought-leadership blog Spend Navigator, dashboards are often seen simply as rearview mirrors, telling the user where they have been, but not where they are going. Kelly also emphasizes that this view should change and that dashboards should be able to be interpreted and used to aid in understanding the direction a company should be taking - especially when it comes to managing SCM Best Practices in as constantly a growing and evolving marketplace as the 21st century's.
