On Tuesday July 7th, the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with their Business Development and Resource Committee, hosted their first Bagels and Business Workshop series. Centered around providing tips and tricks for businesses during this unprecedented time, the first workshop focused on your home office design and tips on protecting your IT.
With many companies continuing to have their employees work from home, even as we re-open, it’s important to consider this a lifestyle change instead of a temporary accommodation. Finding a space and re-imagining it to fit your work lifestyle without distraction is key to moving forward. In addition, our homes are now hosting much more bandwidth and our casual laptops are now our main workspace- are you prepared? Presented by Carmela Posillico from AMI Designs along with UOtech founders Shreena Bindra and Michael Maser, the presentation focused on the best way to optimize your home as your new workspace. From choosing the right ergonomic chair and color palette, to finding the right software and wifi set up to host all the devices now online, this presentation was helpful in many ways.
