On May 8, the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Arts & Experiences Committee, as well as, the Huntington Village BID, hosted the first annual PUBlic Art Crawl from 12 PM-8 PM. The goal of the event was to highlight the incredible public art that paints our town, while also celebrating our local businesses. After such an unprecedented year, it’s more important than ever to support our local businesses and keep our town thriving.
Participants of the Art Crawl received a guided map that highlighted the public art throughout the town. In addition, restaurants throughout the walk were offering different discounts to anyone wearing a green band. There were live murals painted during the day in the Nook at Leilu by Splashes of Hope and on Kidz Hitz by Diego Garcia and there was art for sale by local artists at Six Harbors Brewing Company.
“As a Chamber, our goal is to amplify our members while highlighting our community. This event showcases how vibrant, unique, and wonderful the Town truly is.” Chairwoman Vita Scatturo said.
A special thank you to Diane Palma of Digho Arts and Kieran Johnson of the Huntington Arts Council for spearheading this incredible event for our community!
