Young Professionals Committee Hosts Holiday Scavenger Hunt

On Tuesday, December 14th, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and their Young Professionals Committee celebrated the holidays with a Scavenger Hunt throughout town. “Follow Santa to the Holiday Spectacular” was designed to encourage teams of up to six people to explore the Huntington Village. Teams were given a clue that led them to different stops throughout town. Along their way, teams were encouraged to shop local to earn extra bonus points. The stops for this Scavenger Hunt included: Three Brothers Brewing, Main St. Board Games & Café, Lantern Pharmacy, The Last Word, and Christopher’s.

Bonus points included finding murals from our “Local Looks” art project the Arts and Experiences Committee spearheaded, purchases made at any store in the village, photos of holiday-decorated window displays, and unwrapped toys that can be donated to Project Toy run b the Tri-CYA. Overall, the teams spent over $2,000 in the village and we collected over 100 toys for donations.

The Young Professionals Committee hosts several events throughout the year, with two scavenger hunts annually. These events are designed to encourage team building and support our local charities. In November, the Chamber donated over 20 bags to Long Island Cares “Adopt a Family Program” with the help of a Young Professionals blender at the Art League.

As 2021 comes to a wrap, the Chamber is looking forward to another year of encouraging businesses, creatives, and young professionals to come together to network and grow.
